After thoroughly vetting him, you make the decision it's safe to accept his friend request. Besides, he looks like a friend you could use when the going gets tough. Might make a good character witness.

Wait! What? You mean that somebody like me who has only committed some relatively minor sins is treated as an equal with a murderer, a rapist, or even a child molester?

That's what Paul means when he says, But you didn't learn that sort of thing from Christ. Now that sounds familiar. How many times did you hear your parents say something like, "You know better than that," or, "I didn't raise you to act that way."

God has given his church an enormous responsibility, to make disciples in every nation. We need to start right here at ground zero. This involves preaching, teaching, healing, nurturing, giving, administering, building, and many other tasks. There is just too much need our there for us to do it alone. We need to partner with other like-minded churches.

We know that God works all things together for the good of the ones who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.

It's not about how big our church is at 130 Church Lane, it's about how big our church is in the community.
